How Silver Skills works
Silver Skills brings customers and Skilled Members together for small, practical jobs. We are not a building company, employment agency or emergency repair service, and we do not handle payment for the work itself.
Think of us as the introduction. It is a simple way to find local experience, send a request and talk privately once both sides are happy to continue.

From search to private connection
Read their profiles
See what each person offers, where they work and which small jobs they are happy to take on.
Send a request
Describe what you need in enough detail for the Skilled Member to decide whether it suits them.
Let them decide
They can accept or decline the request. You will not pay a connection fee unless they accept.
Open your private room
If they accept, pay the connection fee and your private connection room will open.
Make the arrangements
Agree the work, timing, price, materials and payment directly with the Skilled Member.

Create a profile and tell us about the practical skills you can offer.
Choose what suits you
Set the job types, service area and level of work you are comfortable with.
We review your profile
We check every profile before it appears publicly.
Receive requests
Customers can then contact you with details of the work they need done.
Accept or decline
Every request is your choice. If the job does not suit you, simply decline it.
Arrange it together
If you accept and the customer opens the connection, discuss the job privately and agree the details between you.
Connection fee
What the connection fee does
The connection fee opens a private room after a Skilled Member accepts your request. From there, the two of you arrange the work directly.
It is not a deposit for the job.
It is not payment for the work.
It is not a quote.
It does not guarantee timing, price, acceptance or outcome.
The customer and Skilled Member agree the work directly with each other.
