Silver Skills helps people find each other for small, practical jobs. We review Skilled Member profiles, provide search and maps, pass on connection requests, open private messaging after a request is accepted and give users a way to report concerns about conduct on the site.
We do not employ Skilled Members, supervise jobs, inspect work, collect job payments, or guarantee the outcome of any job.
Profile browsing, approximate service-area search, connection requests, private connection rooms, reviews linked to real connections, profile review before Skilled Members go public, and a way to raise platform conduct concerns.
The exact job, date and time, price, materials, payment method, whether the job is suitable, and whether either side wants to proceed.
Silver Skills reviews reports about conduct on the platform and account safety. We are not a court, insurer, building inspector, regulator, mediator, debt collector, employer, supervisor or trade certifier.
What “Verified” means
A Verified badge means Silver Skills has reviewed the Skilled Member's identity and address information before publishing the profile. It does not mean that Silver Skills has carried out a criminal-record check, certified the person's workmanship or independently verified every skill, qualification or insurance statement.
Skills, qualifications and insurance information are self-declared unless a profile explicitly says otherwise. Customers should ask for suitable evidence before agreeing any regulated or specialist work.
Before any work starts
Make sure both sides are clear on what is being done, what is included, what it will cost, and how payment will happen.
Customers should not ask Skilled Members to take on unsafe or regulated work unless the person is properly qualified. Skilled Members should decline any job that feels unsuitable, unclear, unsafe, too large, or outside their ability.
